Elden Ring is an open-world action RPG developed by FromSoftware and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Released in 2022, the game places you in the role of the Tarnished, a warrior exploring the mysterious Lands Between in search of the shattered Elden Ring and the title of Elden Lord.

The game is known for:

Challenging combat that rewards timing, patience, and learning enemy attack patterns.
A massive open world filled with castles, caves, hidden dungeons, dragons, and optional bosses to discover.
Deep character customization, allowing players to specialize in melee combat, magic, ranged attacks, or hybrid builds.
Minimal hand-holding, encouraging exploration and piecing together the story through dialogue, item descriptions, and the environment.
Epic boss battles, many of which have become iconic for their difficulty and cinematic presentation.

The world and mythology were created in collaboration with fantasy author George R. R. Martin, while the game's story and direction were led by Hidetaka Miyazaki.

This video doesn't do the game justice...but it's delightfully creepy. 😉

Overall, Elden Ring is widely regarded as one of the defining RPGs of its generation, blending rewarding exploration with demanding combat and a richly mysterious fantasy world.
